The government has recently announced a change to the bus fare cap scheme in England.
In its current form, which runs until 31st December 2024, the maximum fare you will pay for a single journey is £2.00.
From 1st January 2025, the fare cap is rising to £3.00.
£3.00 is the maximum you will pay for one single journey with exception to the following services 8a, 9a, 11, 12 and 112 these services will remain at £2.00 so long as the journey starts or finishes in Cambridgeshire.
Not all single fares will be as high as £3.00. We have lots of single fares below this mark.
This capped fare applies to all Stephensons routes except the following;
51, 101, 306, 311, 414, 417, 419, 441, 444, 446, 451, 453, 491, 492, 493, 503, 504, 505, 506, 510, 513, 515, 621, 676, 701, 702, 716, 721, 806, 807-813. 815, 816, 817, C3, D7
