Stephensons are pleased to announce, that from 31st July 2023, we will be returning as the operator of the Dengie bus services D1 and D2.
During term time, we will be running the special D1 school service between Bradwell on Sea and Plume School.
The service departs:
Bradwell on Sea – 07:13
St Lawrence – 07:24
Steeple – 07:31
Mayland Mill – 07:35
Maylandsea Post Office – 07:38
Latchingdon – 07:44
Cold Norton – 07:48
Purleigh Post Office – 07:53
Then on to Maldon High Street, and Plume School.
In the afternoon, the return journey departs:
Lower Plume – 15:15
Upper Plume – 15:20

As well as accepting cash, contactless and mobile payments onboard, we also have termly and annual school passes available.
The school passes offer a considerable saving over the cost of buying the daily tickets, and over the course of a year, are cheaper than using the £2.00 capped fare!
The termly passes are priced at:
Term 1 – £283.00
Term 2 – £245.80
Term 3 – £216.00
The annual pass is:
£704.25, or 8 interest free instalments of £88.03.
For comparison, over the course of a full school year, buying the £2.00 capped fare each way would equate to £760.00.
